Hi, my name is Nathalie; most of you probably know me as Missy Mistique from Facebook.  I was born in C’ôte D’Ivoire but moved to the United States when I was 16 years old. Coming from a French-speaking country I did not know the English language when I first arrived in the U.S. I resorted to pointing, nervously gesturing, frantically looking up things in the dictionary and paying close attention to body language as a way to make sense of my environment. Back then, communication was a major issue. Perhaps in some weird way, I blog to make up for lost time. I learned humility, compassion and patience during those difficult years. I also learned to laugh at myself and not take myself too seriously.

Through hard work and dedication I attended and graduated from Peace College in Raleigh, NC obtaining a B.A in Psychology. I later moved to Syracuse New York (just a few hours outside of Canada) where I obtained a Masters in Social Work filled with high ideals to change the world through international organizations the likes of the United Nations and World Health Organization.  While I am no longer trying to save the world, being able to help a few people along the way is cool too! In graduate school, I fell in love with working with people. I learned that I was really good at helping people manage their lives though psychological and behavioral interventions. As such, I am very passionate about health, wellness and mental health.

My guilty pleasure is celebrity gossip. When I started blogging in 2010, I use to blog exclusively about celebrity gossip and news.  After a year of practice, I finally found my voice and created Boujibuzz.com which incorporates my passion for wellness and celebrity gossip. I hope that you will join my mission to humanize celebs while simultaneously increasing our ability to take better care of ourselves and the world around us.
